Hemlock Hill Devlog #1: Launch

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to announce the launch of my first piece of interactive fiction, Hemlock Hill, to the site.

The story follows Jinx, a black cat, who feels as though he is doomed. Not surprising really, given the economic landscape he inhabits of factory closures and corporate developers foreclosing on people's homes.

Along the way he will encounter a group of quirky characters and supernatural horrors as he navigates the spooky world he finds himself in.

One of the things I enjoyed the most while working on this project was allowing the world to emerge naturally from the characters and the themes. Jinx's flaw - his inability to be a team play - informs the story and how it unfolds.

From a technical perspective I built this project entirely in HTML, so hopefully it will run easily in most browsers.

This is hopefully just the beginning and I may add new projects and expand old ones.
